Na escultura encontro uma matéria que transporta uma história que não procuro apagar, mas integrar na criação.

Em Esposende, onde mantenho o meu atelier de escultura, recolho madeira devolvida pelo mar e reúno-a com metal e outros materiais reutilizados, preservando as marcas do tempo, da natureza e do usocomo parte da própria linguagem da obra.

Através da figura humana e dos outros seres vivos, dou forma a esculturas que refletem os vínculos, as tensões e os afetos que nos unem. Cada peça nasce da convicção de que existimos sempre em relação: uns com os outros, com a natureza e com o território que habitamos. Ao transformar a matéria, procuro também transformaro olhar, convidando a descobrir novos significados naquilo que parecia ter perdido o seu lugar e a refletir sobre a forma como nos relacionamos entre nós e com todas as formas de vida.

In sculpture, I work with materials that carry ahistory I do not seek to erase, but to integrate into the creative process. InEsposende, where I maintain my sculpture studio, I collect wood returned by thesea and combine it with metal and other reclaimed materials, preserving themarks of time, nature, and use as an integral part of the work's visuallanguage.

Through the human figure and other living beings, I create sculpturesthat reflect the bonds, tensions, and affections that connect us. Each piece isrooted in the conviction that we exist only through relationships: with oneanother, with nature, and with the places we inhabit. By transforming matter, Ialso seek to transform the way we see, inviting the viewer to discover newmeanings in what once seemed to have lost its place and to reflect on how werelate to one another and to all forms of life.
