The need to create on recycled media, to think with your hands, is an arrival to another place, with different dimensions, limits, conventions and materiality. It is the affirmation of the corporal, the tactile and is a challenge due to the unequal qualities. It's like painting for the first time every time.
The definitive inspiration for Pintura Expandia was in honor of my mother, who passed away during the pandemic, with the crochet that she produced throughout her life.
